SKATEBOARD PAINTING
As a guitar player and Hendrix fan, I painted a skateboard for one of my projects. The final art is painted with acrylics, but everything started with a creative process, references, and sketches. I am honored that the project is now hung on the Full Sail walls.
Thumbnail
After researching different photos, album covers, and other references from the 1970s, I created thumbnails to ensure the main idea would work.

Sketch
The sketch is basically the final image with space for everything I planned. During that step, I also tested different fonts and decided to work with two of them.
Color
Before starting the final work, I digitalized the drawing to test the colors properly. I chose a tetrad color scheme, aiming for bold colors to reflect Hendrix's synesthesia and how I feel about his songs.
Transferring
I printed a guide sheet and used Graffite to transfer the drawing to the skateboard, achieving precise work. Refining some details and lines is always necessary.
Painting process
The painting process was long—mixing and finding the most accurate colors and planning which layer to paint first—but the result was rewarding.
